Match outer diameter and window to conductor cross-section and target impedance. Start mid-ladder for 50–200 W class filters, then step size while watching temperature rise and attenuation. Dedicated HF white stock can replace or extend this ladder when that series is buyable.

Is this kit only for common-mode chokes?

It is optimized for CMC and EMI filter size selection, but the same nanocrystalline toroids are useful for related closed-path filter and sensing experiments.
